The Road Win (DARKSIDE‘S SIGNATURE VICTORY) vs.  The Charlotte Cobras

In the NFL, it’s common knowledge that the west coast team traveling to battle an east coast team usually can be considered a sacrificial lamb.  The winning percentage is an unimpressive 25%.  Jet lag?, Unfamiliarity?, Mind Games? There must be some form of logic that cripples a west coast team. Then again, the only logic that matters to YOUR SAN DIEGO ENFORCERS is the logic of having your fellow ENFORCER by your side.  The RED and BLACK stepped up huge, ignoring Read the rest of this entry »

The DARKSIDE and the rest of the ENFORCER PLAYERS focus on the Games, while the ANGELS focus on them.

Violence on the Field of Battle can wage many consequences.  The Orange County game alone is a testament to the conflicting transgressions many can face in the course of a season. Time away from family, potential loss of job due to injury, scheduling adjustments at work.  There is plenty that hangs over the head of the Public Safety Football player.  Just ask “THE OCHO” VALLEY COLEMAN(left lower tendon), or #49 JAKE WILSON(left calf injury) and the price they’re paying. The price, though considerably high, is easier to pay when a quality product is given in return.

Enforcer Of The Month – January

In LATEST ARTICLE on March 18, 2010 at 4:45 pm

EOTM – January 2010
by #4 Danny Newsom
Pictures brought to you by Dave Ellrod
@ www.ellrodimages.com

It’s that time to reflect on those most deserving of a special shout out for the month of January.

Enforcer WARRIOR FAN Of The Month – COLLEEN ”PRINTING GODDESS” JACKSON;  COLLEEN got our attention early.  She’s obviously a SURVIVOR; All of our “WARRIOR FANS” selected are. COLLEEN has separated herself from the rest.  She stepped up with assisting our needs in the printing area, saving our charitable cause major dollars. More money saved is more money given towards breast cancer research. Last year YOUR SAN DIEGO ENFORCERS gave over $20,000 toward the Semper Fi Fund. With help from our family members, like “THE PRINTING GODDESS”, hopefully we’ll be able to give more!  Here’s to this month’s “WARRIOR FAN” for showing the way.

Enforcer VOLUNTEER Of The Month – ZOE ”THE THERAPIST” SIMMONS; ZOE is instrumental in bringing the ENFORCERS that special touch that eludes other Public Safety football teams. The SAN DIEGO ENFORCERS have MASSAGE THERAPIST on their team!  Consider if you will, that most of your ENFORCERS are in their early thirties. Moving like the CAT NINJA’S we are require a little more attention to our joints than when we were in our early twenties. ZOE and her “THERAPIST CREW” bring that Fountain of Youth with every torque, rub, and in my case a few cracks.

Enforcer COACH Of The Month – COACH KURT ”DARKSIDE” DEBNIAK; This selection is like naming BURK as our first Enforcer of the Month(offseason) or naming MILLER as our current Enforcer of the Month (January). It’s pretty much so I don’t have to mention these guys again. Not that we don’t love COACH D. It’s just that, like BURK and MILLER, “THE GODFATHER” is a dominate force. Already naming these guys, at least gives a little more intrigue to future selections simply because of rule # 4; You can’t win Enforcer of the month twice. So who will win Coach of the Month in February?…not so easy, knowing that COACH DEBNIAK has already been honored.

Enforcer SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER Of The Month – #34 JOHN “TOUGH AS NAILS” CARROLL; Check out this guys helmet, it’s not just RED AND BLACK. It carries the colors of our past opponents; it shows it’s skeletal grey plastic, but looks like steel. This guy is an instant inspirational moment. I’ve already glossed him “Tough as Nails” AND now I’m letting you know, he’s a member of The “ALL BROKEN TEAM”. Getting on that team ain’t easy. All of us play hurt; football players just do. Some of us even play injured; Studs like; #37 TONY “PLAYMAKER” DAVID and #41 IHSAN “ISH” WELLS. Guys like those play injured. Well now there’s a place for those who, though may be classed as ill witted, are undenyably OVERFLOWING WITH PASSION FOR THE GAME. A place where those who care about their livelihood, but care more about their team mates, their teams success, and their glory; A land of misfits who redefine the word guts and boost team morale simply by taking the field. It’s citizens are loved by players, coaches, and fans. They walk among us as immortal, unable to die. That city of which I speak is the ALL BROKEN TEAM and #34 is the FREAKIN’ MAYOR.
Enforcer DEFENSIVE PLAYER Of The Month – #52 SEAN ”BIG MILL” MILLER; Quick, name one thing you could add to “BIG MILLS” game to make him better…(cricket, cricket) No response, probably because this guy is as talented as they come. “BIG MILL” is just that, he’s huge. Though not ‘official’ I think he measures just under 8 foot. He blocks out the sun. Probably why we’ve been getting so much rain. Screw the ‘drought’ we’ve got “BIG MILL”. Stand him out in the middle of the Mojave and watch that desert become a tropical resort. Sound a bit God-like? Let’s just say he puts the fear of God in his opponents. SEAN shuts down half the field of play. That’ll scare any offense. In last years rivalry game against LAPD, CAOCH “TOO GOOD LOOKING FOR HIS OWN GOOD” SALMON commented that BIG MILL took out half the field. Think about that. This guys isn’t just shadowing out a top receiver, or mirroring the CENTURIONS capable quarterback; #52 SHUT DOWN AN ENTIRE SIDE OF THE FOOTBALL FIELD. “The running backs couldn’t run through him or around him, the quarterback could see past him, not to mention he (MILLER) was in their backfield more than the LAPD running backs. I’m telling you what he did was amazing!” COACH BRIAN SALMON in 2009. The two best linebackers in our league; SEAN is one of them.

Enforcer OFFENSIVE PLAYER Of The Month – #59 RICK “POW POW” PAAUWE; It’s time to recognize this guy as the OFFENSIVE LINE PILLAR that he is. Our Offensive Tackle position is solid with #70 CHRIS “BIG CHIEF” FLORES and “POW POW”. I’ve given a lot of nick names out. I’ve done so in trying to fit the name with the personality and then sitting back to see if any of them stick. POW POW, sticks. He’s fundamentally sound, smart and massive, but what #59 does more than anything is MAUL DEFENSIVE LINEMEN. Like the old BATMAN shows, you could actually see the word “POW” when he makes contact. It’s fun to watch this MAMMOTH bowl someone over, land on him in true pancake style and then watching him get up smiling only to ask me if I saw him demolish his guy. Yep. I saw it. Like the train wreck that it is, it’s hard to avoid the rubber necking of his brutal man made catastrophe.  I saw it. JJ saw it. The sideline saw it. The defensive linemen’s mother saw it. The only guy that didn’t see it, was the actual guy you just ran over. In fact he probably doesn’t even know which planet he’s on.  Bringing this thing back to our solar system, POW POW is the consummate team mate. RICK is quick to join a party and quicker to lend a hand. That guy is the epitome of the SAN DIEGO ENFORCERS.

"THE PROFESSOR" COACH JAMES KILMER

Enforcers (COACH)Of The Month-OffS: COACH JAMES KILMER

Enforcer VOLUNTEER Of The Month – OffSeason

In ANGELS on March 16, 2010 at 12:34 am

Enforcer (VOLUNTEER)Of The Month-OffS: DAVE ELLROD Nominee’s(LAURISA VALENTIN, DANIELLE ”MOMMA D” CASON, BOBBI AKANS)
Everyone loves themselves.  Or as NFL defensive legend, Deion Sanders says, “I love me some me.” Probably #1 in everybody’s heart, IS themselves. I’m not sayin’ you don’t love your mom.  Or am I suggesting your significant other doesn’t bear a tug on your ol’ heart strings from time to time. I AM saying that no one is ever going to love Newsom, more than Newsom.  Any chance I have to look at myself in a photo, I’m doing it.  This is why DAVE is so HUGE. Read the rest of this entry »

Enforcer WARRIOR FAN Of The Month – OffSeason

In ANGELS on March 15, 2010 at 3:59 am

Our ENFORCER of the MONTH for the Offseason will be by my selection since no suggestions have had time to get to me. I think everyone will agree with the selections made simply because the choices for all six will be obvious…(to me anyway) So join me in congratulating THE ENFORCER NATION’S first selections of the ENFORCER OF THE MONTH!

Enforcer (WARRIOR FAN)Of The Month-OffS: DONNA WALTON
Usually props are given to the person selected for each category.  This time it’s a little different…Congratulations to the Enforcer Family.  I am incredibly thrilled for a group of well deserving players and coaches and volunteers to have an opportunity to embrace such a person as MRS. DONNA WALTON. Sully and Greg have been working hard and now their harvest is starting to bear REAL fruit.  Who is this precious commodity?  She’s the link to our charity, the heart of our new found fans, and the spirit of the Enforcer Family itself.  She’s the person that keeps us in touch with the goals we have set forth Read the rest of this entry »
